The key racks are equipped with very strong magnets that hold key rings as well as a handful of other metal items. (ie. bottle openers, metal pens, wine corkscrew, scissors, sewing needles, etc.) Keys themselves are not magnetic; however, key rings are magnetic and hold a surprising amount of weight.
The key racks hang on the wall with predrilled holes.
All our products are Handcrafted in Philadelphia and are finished in shellac (a non-toxic, natural resin).

Note: Magnets do not interfere with key fobs (remote car openers); however, they should not come into contact with magnetic strip items (credit cards, magnetic ID badges, etc.) and persons with pacemakers or any battery operated medical devise should exercise caution in handling and using anything made with magnets.
