Laura started making jewelry when she met the art master Carla Morrison in Boulder, Colorado. Laura was completely fascinated by what Carla did and all she knew was that she wanted IN! The deal was: Carla teaches Laura the tricks of the trade and Laura commits to 2 years without any pay.

The founder of Laura J Designs was a natural at creating jewelry and loved it from the first day. Up until that moment, she always knew she was artistic, but didn’t know how to focus her energy into making a living out of it. Meeting Carla changed the whole trajectory of her life and she is thankful for it. After apprenticing for 2 years, Laura honed her skills in repair shops.

Laura J Designs was founded in 2002, when she has already come far and learned much. Today, Laura’s Jewelry is sold in over 200 shops nationwide and has been in over 50 magazines, including In Style, People Style Watch and Lucky among many others.

Laura J Designs has participated in the most competitive Trade Shows featuring designers such as Chan Luu and Alexis Bittar. Laura J Designs has a Corina Collections showroom in LA and is covered by representatives in the Tri State Area. Our pieces have been worn by celebrities and included in Sundance Catalog.
