Justine is a Philadelphia based designer with a penchant for color and texture. Having a background in fashion design, Justine has always enjoyed a range of materials and techniques. She began her journey as a rambunctious child… and her Nanna as a babysitter. To get Justine to sit still, her Nanna would have her sew random pieces of fabric together with doubled up thread. This led her to leave her small town in central PA to study fashion design in Philadelphia and Rome. Armed with her shiny new bachelor’s degree, Justine discovered there was not much steady work for a fashion designer in Philadelphia, and after a range of jobs (including a casino, a needlepoint shop, and a fabric store) she settled in with a wholesale jeweler designing and producing jewelry. She had a bit of experience doing this in her youth, but working closely with a small business helped her build the small business and design skills for the “real world”.
